My Love List
I love the smell of a crisp autumn morning, when the leaves are just beginning to change. I love waking up in the morning and realizing I have no where I have to be and nothing I have to do. (It doesn't happen often). I love singing along to show tunes, loudly and badly. I love really, really, really bad TV I am ashamed to admit I watch. I love coming home from work and watching that really bad TV for an hour before I pick Michael up. I love shopping, especially when it involves purchasing that oh so perfect outfit. I love the rare times I think I look thin. I love my wedding song, just the first few notes can make me smile. I love winning a trial, and the perfect cross-examination. I love a good glass of red wine, especially with dark chocolate, or really stinky cheese. I love finding and trying new restaurants, fancy or dumps. I love coming home to a squeaky clean house every other Thursday when the cleaning service comes, (today!) even if it only stays that way for a few hours. I love waking up the morning after a really hard workout feeling sore and feeling like I accomplished something. I love when a new recipe comes out perfect, the first time. I love flip-flops and Juicy sweat suits. I love "What Not To Wear," even though they do not think 30 year olds should wear flip flops and Juicy sweatsuits. I love accessories, even though I don't accessorize well. I love sunrises and sunsets. I love when a book I forgot I pre-ordered arrives from Amazon. I love getting flowers for no reason, not for a special occasion. I love when people remember my birthday, or notice I got my haircut. I love haircut day, it is only second to manicure/pedicure day (also today, yeah!) I love getting the mail, everyday is something new. I love Yom Kippur, the idea you can atone for your sins and people will forgive you and you can honestly start over. I love spicy food, the spicier the better. I love the smell of garlic, onions, and vanilla. I love when my bedroom is cold and I crawl under the covers and it is warm and cozy. I love feeling like I'm making a difference, a real difference, be it through my job or through my life. I love knowing that in the end, no matter what "it" is, it really is going to be okay.
Stolen from Jen. Her rules: I challenge you to make your own list. The only catch? You can't include a single person you know on your list. No "I love the way my husband laughs" or "I love hearing my little girl call for me." It'll be tough, I know. But this particular little exercise is about stripping away everyone who defines you and figuring out what you (not his partner; not their mother/daughter/sister/friend) love. If you do not read her, you should. She is going to be a big blogger very, very soon, and wouldn't you like to say you knew her when? She is funnier, a better writer, and more poignant than most other bloggers out there and I simply adore her.

That was fun to read.. And yay on the mani/pedi day. Those are my fav. Just had that day Monday... Enjoy!

What a great post. And I love Jen too - she will be a rock star blogger in no time at all.

She's also a big fat BABY because your nice comments made her cry a little. Thank you so much. I loved your list, especially the red wine and dark chocolate part.

I LOVE your list! What an awesome idea! Also, I love bad tv. Seriously - my taste in tv shows is probably questionable at best...and I love it!

What a great idea! I love that we aren't allowed to list anyone we know. I also LOVE bad tv & I am finding out that seeking other tv lovers is helping me not be ashamed to admit it.
